Dr. Michael Wakasa

Dr. Michael Wakasa was born in Japan and raised in San Mateo from an early age. After graduating from San Mateo High School, he went on to attend the University of California at Davis majoring in Exercise Physiology. Following in his fathers footsteps, he then completed his Dental school training at the University of California at San Francisco in 1990. After 3 years in Southern California, gaining valuable dental experience working in low income clinics and high volume offices, he joined his father in his practice here in San Mateo in 1993.

For the last 30+ years, Dr. Wakasa and his wife Bonnie continue to enjoy family life raising their 4 children: Kody who is in Medical School in Chicago; Kasey (www.wakasi.com) the Artist in San Diego; Kelly the YouTuber (www.youtube.com/@KellyWakasa) in New York & Kerry in college at Cal Poly San Louis Obispo.
